A GIANT HALF CHICKEN ARMADILLO HORSE HYBRID TEARS DOWN THE NEWLY DISCOVERED ACID SNOW MOUNTAINS IN TEXAS!!!

There is no giant half chicken armadillo horse hybrid. There's also no newly discovered acid snow mountains in Texas. But I wrote that in the title.

On the internet you can surf all over the place, but if you're not careful you can be pulled into a whirlpool of lies and deceit.

With the amount of information sources out there, it's hard to know whats true or false. People have access to photoshop, face changers, and can even edit websites like Wikipedia!

Look at this photo, it's the famous giant woman on the roof of a house in Norway! But, it's not real. What can you believe on the internet?

FUN RUN FANTASTICAL - Connecting with buddies through a Scratch game!

This, is my 'FUN RUN FANTASTICAL' game. I have worked on it for quite a while so here it is!
As it is level 2 -  in Covid levels - we haven't been able to visit Team Pukeko, who are our buddy class over at Awapuni. Because of this, there aren't many ways we can connect with them in real life. However! We can, over the internet. Using our Cybersmart skills, we have created games on Scratch that our buddies can play ( or watch, in the case of a story) from their school and homes!

I am rather happy with my game, although I might go back and make it even better when I develop more advanced skills. The game itself in called 'FUN RUN FANTASTICAL' as you would know at this point, and the idea came from the Fun Run that you can read a little bit more about on some other posts on my blog! My cat sprite has to go through three levels of obstacles that were partly inspired by the fun run at Awapuni, and the time it has to get through gets shorter everytime!

Next time I would like to code a game that has some sort of consequence when you touch the obstacle/object/opponent etc, so that is my next goal. I tried adding some meowing sound effects for fun, but I think that I could make some more advanced music and sound effects. What do you think I could improve on? I hope you like my game, and feel like you can make a game yourself too!

EGGCELLENT EGG THROW POSTER!

This week, as part of our Inquiry with Mr. Scragg, we used some cool new tools to create some posters. The posters were for the promotion of our Grand Egg throw that we are working towards. My team is the Eggs-terminators as you can see on the poster below, plus our slogan, and logo - the egg up top - are included as well. Now you may be wondering what tool I used to make this poster, the answer would be PosterMyWall. I found it to be fun and easy to use, as well as free, so I can see myself using this in the future. The Egg throw itself is an event where teams make a creation to protect their egg, and it is thrown to see if the egg inside breaks or not. Anyways, that got a bit long. Here's a link if you would like to try PosterMyWall: https://www.postermywall.com/  And remember, support the Eggs-terminators, the rest of the teams are just yolks!

The fun run of the century.

A few weeks ago, my class -Manawanui- went to Awapuni School, to participate in a fun run. We were going to be running it with our buddy class, team Pukeko! The course had all sorts of obstacles, including a mud pit, hay bales, and nets to crawl under. Sometimes, me and my buddy got caught up (especially in the maze) but we kept going, and enjoyed the experience. Later on, I went to support and encourage on the sidelines, which was probably the best for me, since I was quite tired. Anyways, that was a brief description of my time at the Awapuni Fun run! Here is a photo of my class during buddy time!

BeFunky Collage.

This is my collage I created using a tool called BeFunky.
The collage is of a place called Tromso in Norway, where I want to go someday. I think that BeFunky
is a cool tool and I would like to use it in the future.

Lunapic.

Today we learnt how to use a tool called Lunapic, which can help you edit and manipulate photographs. I have so far made 4, which is a bit dissapointing, but I had trouble uploading photos. It was overall really fun!

Today me and Chloe, made a comic strip showing the negative effect of mean comments. I learned to use a new tool, called Comix which we used to make the comic strip on the last slide. What do you think of it?
